Insane Films: One Bop from Eating Raoul the Musical (VloMo08-9)

This my favorite song from the handbag-produced staged reading of Eating Raoul. In this scene, Mary must choose between her lover, Raoul, and her husband, Paul.

I ran into Usama at the rally. Usama is an acclaimed filmmaker and his is also a radio host at the new Chicago Public Radio Station vocalo.org. He also used to work for Studs Terkel as his archivist and was even the subject of a chapter of one of Studs’ recent books.

Usama’s film Nice Bombs will be on The Sundance Channel later this month! Visit DanceHabibi for more info.

Insane Films: National Anthem (Vlomo08 Number 6)

This video is a perfect example of something I would never post if it weren’t VloMo.
Kim Stratton singing live from Grant Park just before Barack took to the stage on election night.
Vince Emanuelle talking outside of Grant Park before the rally on the same night.

Insane Films: The Precise Moment of Victory in Grant Park ( vlomo08 #5)

This is what happened when Wolf Blitzer announced Obama as the winner in Grant park just feet away from where Obama would later speak.

Insane Films: Urgent Message from Madge Weinstein (vlomo08 post 3)

Insane Films: Eating Raoul Title Song from the Musical ( VloMo08 )

Paul and Mary Bland dream of opening a gourmet restaurant but they need money to do that. Why not lure sexual deviants to their apartment and kill them? When their swarthy, sexy janitor Raoul learns of their scheme, he partners with them to help dispose of the bodies. That’s when things get complicated…
Based on the cult 1982 film Eating Raoul this musical adaptation is a perfect summer treat for those who enjoy their musicals with a twist.
